That RVegan Life

Finally, something to help those long, deep pantry shelves!

We have a rear kitchen, and I love almost everything about it, but as most full-timers will tell you, all that RV pantry space becomes virtually useless once you actually put food in there. They’re deep, and there’s too much space between each shelf. We fixed the second problem first by adding shelf dividers, but we still kept losing food in the back. Either I would forget I had something and keep buying duplicates, or I would know that I had it somewhere and end up taking out most of the food just to find one thing. So frustrating!

We tried what feels like a hundred different ways to pack the food, but we finally found something that’s worked wonderfully for us, so I wanted to share. We found these bins on Amazon. They come in a few different sizes, but the 24×11 has been perfect for us. It’s long enough that it takes up most of the shelf, so now when I want something from the back, I just pull the bin forward like a drawer. And we didn’t lose that space on the sides because small extra items (salad dressing, unopened Better Than Bouillon jars, etc.) sit right beside the bin, and you still have easy access to them.
