They’re rich, smoky, and hearty enough for fajitas, cheesesteaks, rice bowls, or just a plate with potatoes and vegetables when you want a comfort-food dinner that actually feels satisfying.

Ingredients
- 8 oz soy curls and hot water to cover
- 1 ½ cups vegan beef broth
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp refined coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp browning sauce
- 1 Tbsp molasses
- 1 Tbsp mushroom seasoning
- ½ Tbsp garlic powder
- ½ Tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp hickory liquid smoke
- 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Cover the soy curls in hot water for about 10 minutes to rehydrate.
- Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl.
- Drain the rehydrated soy curls and squeeze out as much water as you can.
- Add the soy curls to a dry pan over medium heat and cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally. The goal is to dry out the curls as much as possible. This helps the soy curls absorb more flavor and develop a better texture. Once they’ve started to firm up, add the liquid and continue cooking until the liquid disappears.
